Even though there isn’t going to be Triple Crown Winner this year there are other exciting races happening around the racing world. The 2019 Breeders Cup Challenge Races are underway and have been since December 2018.
It’s the “Win & Your In” Series features 86 Races in 11 Countries. Thoroughbreds battle it out in Eighty-Six (86) Breeders’ Cup Challenge Races for a starting post position in one of the Breeders’ Cup Races. There are a total of fourteen Breeders’ Cup Races with a total of $30 Million in Purses and Awards.
It’s a two-day event that starts on Friday, November 1, 2019, with five Breeders’ Cup Races. Then on Saturday, November 2, 2019, there are nine races which include the Breeders’ Cup Classic Race. Breeders’ Cup Classic Race has a Purses of $6 Million Dollars and is a Grade 1 Race.
But the horses have to compete in one of the eighty-six races 2019 Breeders Cup Challenge Races to eligible for any of the Breeders’ Cup Races.

The months of June, August, September, and October are when most of the 2019 Breeders Cup Challenge Races take place.
June has fourteen (14) races, four of which are at the Ascot Park in England. These are the races that the Royal Family attends and is always so much fun to watch.
Queen Elizabeth II owns several horses herself and has enjoyed the “Sport of Kings” for many years. Her jockey silks are purple, red and gold if you want to know which horses she owns.
August has fifteen (15) races, five of them are at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York. The 150th Travers Stakes will take place on August, 24th 2019 at Saratoga Race Course.
September has twenty-three (23) races that are in five different countries. Races will be in the U.S., Ireland, England, Canada, and Japan.
October has twenty-one (21) races, ten of which are at Keeneland Race Track.
